George Montree Milstead, son of George Milstead and Ruth Rutledge, would marry Lavinia "Viney" Jane Warden, daughter of John W. Warden and Rachael Elizabeth Ashby, on 29 December 1873 in Lincoln Co., TN.

Their known children included:

• John "Johnny" Calvin (02/20/1875 – 09/02/1925), who married Cora Ann Smith

• William Travis "Papa" (04/14/1877 – 06/17/1945) who married (01/09/1901, LCT) Fannie Mattie "Mama" Sullivan

• James "Jim" Robert (06/03/1879 – 01/21/1949), who married Ida Pearl McGee, divorced, then married Robbie Mae Welch and refused to divorce

• Mary Ozelle (04/04/1881 – 09/27/1956), who married William Hatten Massey

• Maggie "Mag" Lou (07/20/1882 – 10/22/1962), who married John Morgan Raney

• Claude Wilson (10/08/1883 – 09/25/1909)

George, Viney, and their son Claude are buried at the Waid-Ashby Cemetery, Gimlet Road, Mulberry, LCT.

Mr. George M. Milstead died of rheumatism at the home of his son, Mr. John Milstead, in north Fayetteville, Sunday, April 21, 1907, aged 57 years and 14 days. The funeral service was conducted by Eld. Rozier; burial at the Ashby graveyard.

**It may be possible that "North Fayetteville" refers to MIMOSA.
