The Rev. Gail Axen officiated at the rites. Music was by John Rees, Milton Owens, Robert I. Jones and Leonard Pritchard, accompanied by Mrs. John Rees. Honorary pallbearers were Dave Rees, John Owens, Owen Owens, Thomas Pritchard, Owen Jenkins, T. P. Roberts, Earl Davis, Dave Theophilus, Dewey Jones and William Jenkins. Pallbearers were Morris Jenkins, Merlin Jenkins, Roy Jenkins, Melvin Jenkins, Thomas Morris and Howard Morris. Burial was in Bethany Church Cemetery, Carroll.
Edwal A. Morris, son of John and Ellen Morris was born Aug. 20, 1887 in Gage County. At an early age the family moved to Cherry County and at the age of twelve he moved with his family to Wayne County, where he resided until the time of his death.
On February 26, 1913 he married Anna Mae Thomas. Mr. Morris was a life time member of the Bethany Presbyterian Church of Carroll, an ordained elder and trustee and was a Sunday school teacher for many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, two brothers and a son, Wendel. Survivors include his widow, one son, Erwin of Carroll; two daughters, Mrs. Lem Jones of Carroll, Mrs. Clarence Hoemann of Hoskins; one sister, Mrs. Jane Edwards of Wayne; ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
