Funeral services for Ellis Morris, 79, Coleridge, were held Saturday afternoon at Bethany Presbyterian church, Carroll. Mr. Morris died last Wednesday at Wayne hospital where he had been a patient two weeks.
Rev. Gail Axen officiated at the rites. Pallbearers were Allen and Thomas Pritchard, Owen and William Jenkins, Dewey Jones and Alfred Thomas. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Ellis Morris, son of John W. and Ellen Jones Morris, was born Feb. 9, 1883 in Gage county. When he was seven he moved with his parents to Cherry county. In 1899 he moved to a farm near Carroll and in 1955 he moved to Coleridge.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, William. Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Jane Edwards, Wayne, and Mrs. Emily Jenkins and Mrs. Albert (Sarah) Jenkins, Carroll, and a brother, Edwal Morris, Carroll.
