Funeral services for Mrs. Jane Edwards, 90, Wayne, were held Wednesday at the Bethany Presbyterian Church, Carroll. Mrs. Edwards died Sunday.
The Rev. Gail Axen and Rev. Paul Russell officiated. Leonard Pritchard and Robert I. Jones sang, accompanied by Mrs. Lem Jones. Pallbearers were Erwin Morris, Tom Morris, Owen Jenkins, Roy Jenkins, Morris Jenkins and Evan Williams. Burial was in the Bethany Church Cemetery.
Jane Edwards, daughter of John W. and Ellen Morris, was born January 5, 1881, at North Wales. At the age of two she came with her family to the United States settling in Wymore. After a short stay in this community they moved to Cherry County and in 1899 they came to Wayne County and settled on a farm southwest of Carroll.
March 5, 1901, she was married to John H. Edwards. They made their home in the Carroll vicinity until January 1945 when she came to Wayne were she resided until her death.
She was preceded in death by her husband; one son; one daughter; three brothers and two sisters. Survivors include her daughter, Eleanor of Wayne and many nieces and nephews.
