William H. Morris passed away at his home southwest of Carroll Monday morning, May 21, aged 66 years, 2 months and 16 days. He had undergone an operation last fall and had not been well since.

Funeral rites will be held this Thursday afternoon at 1:30 from the home and at 2 from Bethany Presbyterian church southwest of Carroll with Rev. O. B. Proett of Wayne, officiating. A mixed quartet will sing. Burial in charge of Gaebler & Neely will follow at Bethany cemetery. Pallbearers will be Edwin Davis, T. P. Roberts, Alfred Thomas, Thomas Pritchard, Clarence Volwiler and David Morris.

William Henry Morris, son of John W. and Ellen Morris, was born March 5, 1879, at Camarfonshire, North Wales. He came to the United States with his parents when he was 3 years old and the family settled at Wymore, Neb. In 1888 they moved to Cherry county and remained there nine years. Deceased came to Wayne county in 1897 and had lived here since.

Mr. Morris and Miss Laura Jane James were married in Wayne county September 27, 1905. To this union were born six children, Thomas, Aetna, Howard, Miriam, Genevieve and Mrs. Wayne Imel. Surviving are Mrs. Morris and the children, also two grandchildren, Roger and Linda Morris. Mr. Morris is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Jane Edwards of Wayne, Mrs. Sam Jenkins and Mrs. Albert Jenkins of Carroll, and two brothers, Ellis and Edwal Morris of Winside.

Mr. Morris was a faithful member of the Congregational church.

Among those who will be here for the funeral are Mrs. Nellie James of Colorado Springs, and Mrs. Fannie Theophilus of Peetz, Colo., sisters of Mrs. Morris.
