George Swartz Dominguez, 90, of Bayard, entered eternal rest on Monday, February 25, 2008 at Fort Bayard
Medical Center.

Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. today, February 27, 2008 at Baca's Funeral Chapels in Silver City followed
by the prayer vigil and rosary beginning at 6 p.m. led by Deacon David Castanon. The funeral liturgy will
be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 28, 2008 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Bayard
with Father
Paulus Kao officiating. The rite of committal and interment will follow at Fort Bayard National Cemetery
with veteran honors accorded by the local veteran groups.

Mr. Dominguez was born March 4, 1917 in Swartz, N.M., to Jose and Georgia (Swartz) Dominguez. He was married
to his wife, Juanita for 67 wonderful years. Together they had four daughters. He served in the Army during WWII,
from 1942 to 1944. He was a communicant of the Catholic Church and retired from UV Mines as a foreman and worked
as a funeral service attendant for his nephew, Sam at Baca's Funeral Chapels. He loved to go to the ballparks to
watch baseball and softball games. He loved his horses, talking to his friends and family, watching western movies
and boxing and really enjoyed being with all his grandchildren.

Mr. Dominguez is survived by his wife, Juanita; four daughters, Patsy Dominguez, Carol Garcia and husband Daniel,
Minnie Marquez and husband Ralph and Emma Townsend and husband Mike; two sisters, Mary Dominguez, Bertha Galindo
and his brother, Jose Dominguez. Eleven grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren
also survive him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his in-laws, Jose and Carolina Trujillo; several brothers and sisters;
and his grandson, Daniel "Boone" Garcia.

Pallbearers are Ralph D. Marquez, George D. Marquez, Anthony Daniels, Johnny Joe Lopez, Jeffery Norton, Luis
Terrazas Jr., Michael Garcia and Manuel Marquez. Honorary bearers listed are Daniel Garcia, Ralph B. Marquez,
Stephen Marquez, Timothy Marquez, Christopher Pena, Rae Jean Marquez, Alyssa Vargas, Deandra Lopez, Kathy Ann
Morales, Ashley Marquez, Iesha Marquez, Erica Pena, Jackie Garcia, Nick Garcia, Jonathan Marquez, Sam Baca,
Daniel Marquez, Pamela Marquez, Cathy Garcia, Stephanie Orosco, Tina Pena, Bernadette Marquez, Mona Abeyta,
Denise Medel and the rest of his grandchildren, godchildren, nephews and his friends and family.
