Jose A. Dominguez, 83, a long time resident of the Mimbres area died 29 of January 1964. He was a long time rancher and left his wife Georgia Swartz a widow. The funeral mass was at the San Lorenzo Catholic Church. Burial followed in the San Lorenzo Cemetery. Survivors include his sons, Valentine of Faywood, Jose of Albuquerque, George of Bayard and Tom of Deming; his daughters, Mrs. Elena Baca of Faywood, Carmen Lucero of Deming, Bertha Gallindo of Odessa TX, Eva Ortega of Selma, CA, Rosie Lucero of Montebello, CA, Georgia Cortez of Los Angeles, and Mary Lozano of Deming. His brothers, Roque, Leandro and Luis and
a sister Maria Dominguez. Preceding him in death besides his parents were his sisters, Dolores Portillo, Eustacia Ross, Agapita Grijalva, and
Juana. A brother Francisco Dominguez died in 1961.
