Bertha Dominguez Galindo, 91, of Deming died on Tuesday at Mountain View Regional Medical Center in Las Cruces.
Visitations will be held today from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Baca's Funeral Chapel, Deming. Services will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. at the same chapel. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery, Deming.
Survivors include her daughters, Annie Burgholzer of Deming, Clara Arrey of Deming, Gloria Chavez of Bayard and Betty Cuhen of Deming; son, Carlos Galindo of Los Lunas; brother, Jose Dominguez of Sacramento, CA; sister, Mary Dominguez of Deming; seventeen grandchildren; forty-eight great-grandchildren; and forty-five great-great-grandchildren.
She was born April 8 1919 to Jose A. Dominguez and Georgia Swartz. Her parents preceded her in death as did her eleven siblings. Sisters were, Elena Dominguez Baca who died in 1988. Georgia Dominguez Cortez who died in 1972. Eva Dominguez Ortega who died in 2000. Camilla Dominguez Lucero who died in 2007. Rose Dominguez Lucero who died in 1982. Valentine Dominguez who died in 2000. Her brothers were,
Ramon, Tom, Jose, & Juan whose dates of death are unknown. George who died in 2008. Mary Dominguez Lozano was the last known surviving sibling.
