Mrs. Georgia Swartz Dominguez, 82, a long time resident of the Mimbres area died at a Deming Hospital March 6. She was the widow of Jose Dominguez a long time rancher. Rosary was said in the Wheeler Mortuary Chapel in Deming. The funeral mass was at the San Lorenzo Catholic Church. Burial followed in the San Lorenzo Cemetery. Officiating was the Rev.Fr. Carl F Nieeset and the Rev. Fr Joseph Hermosa. Survivors include her sons, Valentine of Faywood, Jose of Albuquerque, George of Bayard and Tom of Deming; her daughters, Mrs. Elana Baca of Faywood, Carmen Lucero of Deming, Bertha Gallindo of Odessa TX, Eva Ortega of Selma, CA, Rosie Lucero of Montebello, CA, Georgia Cortez of Los Angeles, and Mary Lozano of Deming. Her brothers, Jim Swartz and Mac Swartz of Deming and Ike Swartz of San Fernando, CA; her sisters, Camilla Parra of Albuquerque, Adella Torres of Deming, Sadie Lucero of Central, Minnie Jimenez of Hanover and Viola Medina of Los Angeles; 59 grandchildren; 104 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
