Born March 2, 1878, Salt Lake City, a son of William L. and Jane MacDuff Butler. Married Mabel Bluett, March 20, 1907, Salt Lake City. Retired grocer. Member, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Survivors: widow, sons, daughter, E.John (Jack), Earl B., M.Grace Butler, all Salt Lake City; W.A. (Al), Elko, Nev., 10 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; brothers, Joseph T., Thomas E., both Salt Lake City.
Funeral Monday, 2 p.m., 124-4th East. Friends call Sunday, 6-8 p.m. and Monday one hour before services. Burial, Salt Lake City Cemetery. The family suggests contributions to favorite charity."
