Christopher Francis Bogan, 88, formerly of Merillville, passed away in Asheville, N.C., after a lengthy illness, on Friday, June 30, 2000. He was a retired employee of Gary Sheet & Tin Mill; member of Merrillville United Methodist Church and Masonic Lake Lodge #157 F.&A.M. Mr. Bogan was born and raised in Clinton County, IN. Preceded in death by wife of 62 years, Beatrice, daughter, Karen Kole, four brothers and four sisters.

Survived by one daughter, Peggy (Norbert) Saager of Asheville, N.C., one granddaughter, Cynthia Kaminski of Hobart, IN.; two grandsons; Jeff (Vicki) Thornton and Brian (Ann) Thornton, both of Portage; five great grandchildren; and numerous loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral services Monday, July 3, 2000, at 11 a.m. at the Geisen Funeral Home, 7905 Broadway, Merrillville, IN., Rev. Michelle A. Cobb officiating. Burial to follow at Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville, IN. Friends may call at the Geisen Funeral Home on Sunday from 2 to 8 p.m. Masonic Lake Lodge Service Sunday 7 p.m.
