Son of Spenser Francis & Hattie Belle Dunn Bogan. Married Bertha Payne.

Obit: Wesley Francis Bogan died at 7:30 a.m. Friday in the Assembly of God Nursing Home at the age of 86. He had been in failing health for four weeks.

Mr. Bogan, a retired farmer, was born near Kirklin on July 22, 1881, and spent most of his life in that area. He was the son of Spenser Francis and Hattie Belle Dunn Bogan.

He married the former Bertha Payne June 26, 1898, and she died March 18, 1952. Out of the marriage came a family of over 150.

He is survived by five sons; Elmer Bogan of Bicknell, Fred Bogan of Carmel, Loyal Bogan of Lafayette, and Chris and Wesley F. Bogan Jr. of Gary; three daughters, Mrs .Fern Merrill of Frankfort, Mrs. Florence Louks of Bicknell and Mrs. Evelyn Heaton of Danville; and four brothers, Forest Bogan of Hillsboro, George Bogan of Bicknell, Earl Bogan of Michigantown, and Omer Bogan of Lafayette.

Three other brothers, Charles Everett and Oscar Bogan, and five sisters, Blanche Bailey, Clida Behr, Cora Carsman, Mary Bogan and Lucille Bogan preceded him in death.

Also surviving are 38 grandchildren, 104 great-grandchildren and five great-great-granchildren.

Burial in Oak Hill Cemetery, Kirklin.
