Elmer C. Bogan, 81, of 1011 N. Main Street., Bicknell died at 2 p.m. Friday in Good Samaritan Hospital, Vincinnes.

He was a retired carpenter and had lived in Pendleton, Lafayette, and Oregon. He was a member of the Bicknell First Christian Church.

He was born May 15, 1900, in Kirklin to Wesley and Bertha Payne Bogan. He married Myrtle Wright and she died in 1967. He later married Earlene Eaton, and she survives him. Other survivors include three sons, Herbert of Kokomo, Dale of Lafayette, and David of Edgewood, Md.; two daughters, Mrs. Clarence (Marion) Evenson of LaGrande, Or., and Mrs. John (Harriet) Selch of Danville; two sisters, Fern Merrill and Florence Loucks of Frankfort and Christopher of Clearwater, Fl.; a stepson, Bill Eaton of South Haven, Miss.; two step daughters, Mrs. Don (Carol) Chestnut of Washington, Ind., and Mrs. Kelley Rollins of Bloomfield; 24 grand children and 17 great grand children. A son preceded him in death.

Services will be held at 10:30 a. m. tomorrow in McClure Funeral Home, Bicknell. Grave side services will be at 3 p.m. Oak Hill cemetery, Kirklin. Friends may call at the funeral home from 3-5 and 6-8 today.
