Loyal E. Bogan died at St. Elizabeth Hospital at 5:10 AM Saturday following a heart attack. He was born in Clinton County on June 1 1915 and was the son of Wesley and Bertha Payne Bogan. On June 20 1945 he was married to Mary Humphrey who survives.

He moved from Frankfort to Gary and in 1963 moved to West Lafayette. For seven years he worked for the Purdue University Grounds Dept. He was a veteran of W.W. ll and served in the South Pacific. He was a member of the American Legion.

Survivors include: his wife, a son Randy Bogan who lives at home; three sisters, Florence Louks of Bicknell, Evelyn Heaton of Coshocton, Ohio and Fern Merrill of Frankfort; four brothers, Christopher Bogan of Gary, Wesley Jr. of Hobart, Fred of Carmel, and Elmer of Bicknell. One sister preceded him in death. Services will be held at 1:30 pm Monday from the Goodwin Funeral Home. Rev. George W. Smith will be officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery in Kirklin. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2:00 pm Sunday.
