DOSSIE BARNES

Dossie Barnes of New Enterprise, R.D., died unexpectedly Monday morning at 11:40 o'clock, of a heart ailment, after an extended illness. He was a son of John and Eliza Jay Barnes, and was born in Mann township, Bedford county, March 22, 1880. He was united in marriage with May Akers on March 30, 1907, and was a farmer by occupation. Surviving are his wife and these children: Roy and Eldon, of Loysburg; Alfred, Merril and Elmer, of New Enterprise, R.D.; Clarence, of Palms, Calif.; Mrs. Blanche Rose of New Paris; Mrs. Bertha Snyder and Sherman, of Johnstown; one brother and one sister, David Barnes of Artemus, R.D., and Mrs. Nancy Houser of Bedford R.D.; and 10 grandchildren. Two children preceded him in death. He was a member of the Pine Grove Christian church at Clearville, where funeral services were held this Thursday afternoon, in charge of Rev. D.I. Pepple of Woodbury and Rev. Walter Twigg of Flintstone, Md. Interment in the church cemetery.

DOSSIE BARNES
