Anna Christy, daughter of James and Anna Christy, was born in Illinois, March 25, 1873 and passed away August 29, 1936 at Carroll, Iowa.

She came to Carroll county with her parents in the spring of 1892 and lived on the Christy farm north of Coon Rapids until the spring of 1931 when she moved to Carroll to make her home with her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Winthorner.
Since the death of Mrs. Winthorner in November 1935 she remained as housekeeper for Mr. Winthorner and it was here that she passed away suddenly of heart trouble after a short illness.

One of a family of ten children she leaves to mourn her passing, one brother, James Christy of Marschfield, Wisconsin, several nephews and nieces besides other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at the Annunciation church in Coon Rapids, August 31. Requiem high mass was celebrated by Rev Fr. Loeffelholz. Interment was in the Coon Rapids cemetery.
