George Christy, 51, a resident of the Coon Rapids community for forty years, died at St. Anthony's hospital at Carroll Friday evening after suffering a ruptured appendix. Funeral services were held at Annunciation church, Coon Rapids, Monday morning at 9 o'clock Rev. Fr. Lynch of Carroll officiating. Burial was in the local Catholic cemetery.

George Christy was born in Indiana April 18, 1882. He came to Carroll County with his parents, James and Anna Christy in 1892 and spent nearly all of his life on a farm they purchased about 5 miles north of Coon Rapids. About two years ago he sold out and went to Carroll to live with his sister, Mrs. Fred Winthauser. He is also survived by a sister, Miss Anna Christy, of Carroll and a brother, James Christy of Marshfield, Wis., in addition to many nephews, nieces and other relatives.
