Mrs. Joseph Zenner, who lived in Coon Rapids for many years, died at the Carroll hospital Friday, May 23rd. The Zenner family had lived In Glidden for several years where Mr. Zenner was engaged in the meat business, going from there to Lohrville where he continued to operate a market. Mrs. Zenner was born at Peoria, Illinois, but came to this county about forty years ago. She is survived by her husband, one son, George, and one daughter, Mrs. Henry Roetker, all of Lohrville. She also had many relatives and friends in the vicinity of Coon Rapids. The funeral was held last Monday morning at the Catholic church in Coon Rapids and interment was in Coon Rapids cemetery.

Mrs. Joe Zenner, wife of Joe Zenner, formerly of Glidden, but now of Lohrville, died at St. Anthony's hospital at Carroll, Friday, May 23, where she had been for the past three weeks for treatment of enlargement of heart from which she had suffered for the past year or more.

Funeral services were held at the Church of the Ennunciation (Annunciation) at Coon Rapids, Monday morning, the Rev. Father Ivis, in charge. Six nephews acted as pall bearers. Interment in the Ennunciation (Annunciation) cemetery.

Elizabeth E. Christy-Zenner was born in Wauseka, Wisc., Aug 26, 1860. She came with her parents to Carroll County, Iowa, about 40 years ago and located on a farm 5 miles north of Coon Rapids. She was united in marriage with Joseph Zenner, Oct. 27, 1887. Two children were born to them, George of Westbend and Loretta Roelker of Lohrville.

Mr. and Mrs. Zenner made their home in Coon Rapids until about three years ago, when they moved to Glidden and this spring moved to Lohrville. Besides the bereaved husband and two children, she is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Fred Winthouser of Carroll, Miss Anna Christy, and two brothers James of Wisconsin and George Christy, who with his sister Miss Anna, remain on the old home farm south of Glidden.
