Oct. 15 Rites Pay Tribute To Manti Man

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, October 15, in the Manti North Ward at 1:00 p.m. for Lloyd Wayne Tuttle. Mr. Tuttle succumbed to a heart ailment at a Provo hospital October 12, 1969.

He was born November 6, 1891 in Manti, a son of Luther T. and Emily Cox Tuttle. On April 26, 1917 he married Dorthea Keller. The marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple. She died June 6, 1953.

On June 24, 1954, in the Manti Temple he was wed to Sarah Sessions Nielson.

He was a graduate of Utah State University. In Logan and Manti he taught school. Not only had he been a teacher, but also he was a live stockman and an employee for ten years for the U. S. government forms security office.

He was a member of the LDS Church.

Survivors: widow; sons, daughters, Mrs. Austin (Norma) J. Erickson, Bountiful; Wayne K., Provo; Earl J., Manti; Mrs. LaMar (Gwen) Monroe, Scipio; Mrs. Paul (Delma) Dyreng, Gunnison; stepdaughters, Mrs. Archie M. Brugger, Germany; Mrs. Richard (Alice Ann) Wright, Vacaville, California; Mrs. Frank (Norma) Allen, Smithfield; 42 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Mrs. Maude Olsen, Manti.

Funeral services were conducted by Bishop Duane Erickson as follows:

Prayer at the mortuary, Wayne Tuttle, a son.

Preliminary and postlude music by Adele Lambert, a niece.

Invocation, Austin Erickson, a son-in-law.

Musical selection, "In the Garden", Caroleen Mackey and Keller Christensen, a niece and nephew, accompanied by Marion Christensen.

Speakers, Andrew J. Judd and C. Dennis Funk.

Musical selection, "The Lord's Prayer" by Jeanne Moore, a granddaughter.

Speakers, Wilford G. Frischknecht and Dr. A. M. Brugger, a son-in-law.

Closing remarks, Bishop Erickson.

Musical selection, "Abide with Me 'Tis Eventide" by the North Ward Ladies double trio.

Benediction LaMar Monroe, a son-in-law.

Dedication of the grave in the Manti City Cemetery, Earl J. Tuttle, a son.

Pallbearers: Terry Tuttle, Brant Tuttle, Allen Dyreng, Eric Tuttle, Barry Erickson, Dale Tuttle, all grandsons.

Honorary pallbearers: all grandsons.
