Heart Attack Takes Live of Popular Young Woman

Mrs. Janet Tuttle Stott, 19, died at her home in Manti at 6:30 Monday morning, April 17. Cause of death was listed as a heart ailment and death came suddenly, without any prolonged illness.

Mrs. Stott was born at Manti, June 3, 1930, a daughter of Lloyd and Vera Keller Tuttle. She had lived in Manti all of her life, and graduated from Manti schools. She also graduated from the Manti Seminary and attended Snow College.

She was an active church worker, having served as secretary in the North Ward Sunday School, as teacher in Primary, as president of the Gleaner Girl group in her ward and as a member of the Manti choir. Mrs. Stott had completed assignments necessary to become a Golden Gleaner and would have received this award in services scheduled for June.

She was married to Carl Stott on June 22, 1949 in the Manti LDS temple.

Surviving are her husband, her parents, and the following brothers and sisters; Wayne and McLloyd Tuttle of Manti, Mrs. Gwen Monroe of Scipio; Miss Delma Tuttle now serving a mission in California; Earl Tuttle, New Castle, Colorado, and Mrs. Norma Erickson of Salt Lake City.

Funeral services were held in the Manti North Ward chapel on Thursday.
