Richard 'Dick' Blain, 81 , of Butler, PA, passed away at 1:45pm on Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at his daughter's residence in Baden, Pa.

He was born October, 24, 1927 in Center Twp., Butler CO., PA, the son of the late John Milton Blain and the late Elsie Grace VanGorder Blain.
He was a veteran of the US Army during WW II. He was a member of Faith UP Church. He retired from the melt shop maintenance at Armco Steel and was also a part time bus driver for Butler Area School District. He was a member of Armco Vets, Armco Management Club, and Parker VFW # 7073. He enjoyed walking at Clearview Mall, bowling and camping.

Surviving are his daughter, Mrs Kirk (Kathy) Hinchberger of Baden; a son, Richard K Blain and his conpanion, Brenda Sinchar, 2 grandchildren, Kaitlyn Hinchberger and Michael Hinchberger.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Ann McCormick Blain who died May 13, 2000, 2 sisters, Winona Arminta Blain Sweesy and Effie Luella Blain Walter; and 3 brothers, Wilbur Alexander Blain, John Milton Blain, Jr and Arthur George Blain.

Friends will be recieved at Young Funeral Home, 127 W Jefferson St., Butler, Pa on Saturday, July 25, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9pm.

Services will be held at Faith UP Church, 1329 North Main St, Sunday, July 26, 2009 at 1:30pm with Rev Ray Eichler officiating.

Private interment in the Calvary Cemetery, Butler, Pa.
