Mrs Thomas W. McKnight

Mrs Elsie Grace Blain McKnight, 76, a former Butler resident who resided the past 6 years in Grove City, died suddenly in the Grove City Hospital at 11:06 pm yesterday.
Mrs McKnight was born in Lawrence Co, January 8, 1889. She died on her 76th birthday.
Her father was George VanGorder and her mother was Leota Murray.
She was married to Thomas W McKnight on April 25, 1959. Her first husband, J Milton Blain, died in 1947.
Mrs McKnight had been a practical nurse until recent months. She was a member of the Broad Street Untied Presbyterian Church of Grove City, a member of the Worthwhile Bible Class, the Sarah Circle, the Golden Age Club, the Slippery Rock Grange, and the Maqueda Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, 421, of Butler.
Surviving are her husband, Thomas W McKnight; two daughters, Mrs Fred
( Winona) Sweesy, Butler; and Mrs Raymond (Effie) Walter, Butler; three sons, Wilbur A Blain, Arthur G Blain, and Richard P Blain, all of Butler; two stepsons, W Perry McKnight and Thomas W McKnight Jr, both of Grove City; and 10 step grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, two brothers and two sisters.

McKNIGHT - Friends of Mrs Elsie Grace Blain McKnight, of 215 N Center St., Grove City, who died Friday, Jan 8, 1965, will be received in the Atwell Funeral Home from 10am to 9Pm Sunday. The family will personally receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9pm Sunday at the Atwell Funeral Home. 137 W Jefferson St,m Butler. Friends will also be received from 7-9 pm at the Cunningham Funeral Home in Grove City Saturday night. A prayer service will be held with the Rev A.B. Weisz, assistant pastor of the Broad Street UP Church, officiating. Funeral services will be held from the Atwell Funeral Home at 3 pm on Monday, Jan 11, with Dr James G. Manor, pastor of St Andrews UP Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery.
