John Milton (Milt) Blain

John Milton (Milt) Blain, aged 72, a former resident of Center Township, died yesterday at the family residence, 555 West Brady Street, at 5:15 this morning.
Mr Blain was born in Center Two November 7, 1874, son of the late Alexander and Sarah Emeline Allison Blain, and lived on the farm where he was born until 18 months ago, when he removed to Butler.
He leaves his widow, Elsie VanGorder Blain; four sons, Wilbur A. and John M, Jr., of Butler, Arthur G of West Sunbury, R D 1, and Private First Class Richard P Blain with the Infantry Detachment, West Point, NY; Two daughters, Mrs Winona Sweesy of Butler, RD 1, and Mrs Effie Walters of Butler, R D 7; a sister, Mrs George Shanor, of Butler, R D 1; two brothers, R Charley Blain of West Sunbury, R D 1 and T Harry Blain of Helena, Montana, and nine grandchildren.
He was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church of Butler, and prior to coming to Butler was a member for many years of the Holyoke United Presbyterian Church. He was also a member of the Unionville Grange.
Friends will be received at the family residence, 555 West Brady Street, until noon Friday.
The body will be removed to the First United Presbyterian Church at 1 o'clock Friday afternoon, where it may be viewed by friends until time of the services.
Funeral services will be held from the First UP Church at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon, with the Rev Robert H French, pastor officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
