Mrs. J. W. Loter,95, of Abilene, died in her sleep about 2:30 Tuesday morning, January 21.
She was born July 14, 1879 in Ennis, and moved with her family to the Texas Panhandle in 1888. Her father, the late R.A. Dysart, helped found the county seat town of Wellington where she lived until about 15 years ago when she moved to Abilene to make her home with her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. A.Z. Hays. For the past several months she had been a patient in Happy Haven Nursing Center.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Hays of Abilene, Mrs. H.L. Langston of Albuquerque, NM and Mrs. Robert B. Harper of Oklahoma City; three sons, John R. Loter of Fallon, NV and Allen Loter of Lubbock and James W. Loter of Denver.
Also surviving are a brother, C.E. Dysart of Clayton, NM and a sister, Mrs. H.A. Holcomb of Wellington. Surviving are 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was a member of the College Church of Christ, Abilene.
