Ola Mae Langston, a native of Collingsworth County died Thursday, march 8, 1990 in Abilene, Texas. She was born March 8, 1903 to James W. Loter and Gertrude Dysart Loter, early day settlers in Collingsworth County.
Mrs. Langston graduated from Wellington High School in 1921. She graduated from Hardin College of Arkansas and Hills Business College of Oklahoma City.
She taught two years at Wilnulcer and two years at Oklahoma Christian High School at Cordell, OK.
From 1930 to 1944 she was secretary to L.C. Mersfelder Agency of Kansas City Life Insurance Company in Oklahoma City.
In 1942 she married Howard Langston of Oklahoma City. In 1944 they moved to Albuquerque, new Mexico where she served as Secretary for the City of Albuquerque, retiring in 1968.
Mr. Langston died in 1986. In August 1989 she moved to Abilene to be near a sister.
Survivors include a brother, Allen D. Loter of Lubbock, two sisters, Lena (Mrs. A.Z. Hays) of Abilene and Margaret (Mrs. Robert B. Harper) of Oklahoma City and several nieces and nephews.
