Daughter of Jehoiada B. Jeffery (1849-1912)and Nancy Jane Evans Jeffery (1849-1922).

The 1910 US Census shows the spelling of the last name as "Larrence" and that her husband reported his name as "Thomas" verses the normal use of William. They were living at this time in the Harris Township of Stone County, Arkansas. The following family members were shown as living in the home at that time:

Nettie's great grandfather, also named Jehoiada, was a veteran of the War of 1812 and his name appears on a monument at the Arkansas State Capital in Little Rock, Arkansas. He also was the one of the first, if not the first, white men to settle the White River country in what would be known as Mt. Olive, Izard County, Arkansas. His descendants still reside there to this day.
