Sarah A. Heath was the daughter of James Heath and Chloe McComas who lived in Platte Co. MO. Sarah married twice: 1st 18 Mar 1858 to Isaac 'Jack' Babcock who died in 1859. She married 2nd 19 Oct 1865 William Henry Arnold. It was not a first marriage for him. Sarah A. (Heath) (Babcock) Arnold, widowed twice, had children in both marriages and also stepchildren to raise with the Arnold surname. Her own children were: James W. Babcock (1859), William H. Arnold Jr. (1868), Charles C. Arnold (1871), George M. Arnold (1874). At age 68 Sarah (Heath) (Babcock) Arnold, widowed, was living with her youngest son George Murray Arnold in Leavenworth Co. KS.

2nd husband William Henry Arnold Sr died Oct 1872 Platte Co MO (grave location unknown). On Sept 27, 1870 Sarah and her 2nd husband Wm Henry Arnold sold for $185 the following land to a Dolphus J. Fouts: "All the following described part of the SW 1/4 of section 35, twp 52, range 35, to wit: Beginning at a point twenty chains west of the SE corner of said quarter, and running then north 7 25/chains to a stake on the north bank of a branch from which an elm 30 inches in diameter bears South 66 1/2 east 1 50/chains to a stake in William Zachary's line, then with his line south about 15 degrees west 10 25/chains to the township line, then with the township line west about 15 62 1/2/chains to the beginning."

The next land transaction of record for this family was Nov 15, 1892. When Sarah A. Arnold, William H. Arnold, Charles C. Arnold, George W. Arnold sold land to George W. Babcock. On that date they sold for $1,000 the following piece of land: "80 acres out of the E 1/2 of the SW 1/4 of section 35, twp 52, range 35, said 50 acres being in the central part of said 80 acres and being all of the 80 acres except 15 acres off the north end of said 80 acres and 15 acres of the south end of same as will more fully appear by a plat filed and recorded in Book N, page 234 and 235 records of Probate Court of Platte Co. MO.

Her second husband William H. Arnold was described as a genial, intelligent and energetic farmer and trader.

Her eldest son James W. Babcock married Jan 4, 1880 Lurella Naylor, the daughter of Paul Naylor and had four children and lived in Leavenworth, KS. He died in Los Angeles Co. CA and is buried in Forest Lawn Memorial Park (Glendale) with his wife Lurella.

William Henry Arnold Jr married 16 June 1893 Elsie A. Shaffer

Charles C. Arnold married several times. m.1. ca 1895 Missouri Belle Ewing, m.2nd 2 Sept 1895 in Leavenworth KS Iola Brushwood (she died in 1905; he married 3rd a Sadie Unknown. Two adopted children: Fay Arnold, Mary Arnold. He died 22 May 1940 Kansas City, Jackson Co. MO, however one researcher indicated he was buried in Leavenworth, KS. I have been unable to find his burial site.

George Murray Arnold b. 20 Mar 1873 appears not to have married.
