Lucy and William Malott farmed in Platte County MO but sold their land on Sept 18 1875 for $3200 and moved westward and were in Wilmington Twp, Los Angeles Co by June 1880.
Lucinda E Heath was the daughter of James Heath and his wife Chloe (McComas) Heath who married in Cabell Co WV, then migrated with the family to early Platte County MO in 1838. She was the granddaughter of Israel Heath b. 1773 and his wife Elizabeth Blue who married 25 July 1799 Martinsburg VA, migrated to Cabell Co WV by 1809 and migrated again in 1839 into early Platte Co MO where they died.
The families of Israel Heath and that of Moses McComas both migrated from VA into Cabell Co WV. Five of the children of Israel Heath married 5 of the children of Moses McComas while living in Cabell Co WV. James Heath, Lucinda's father, was one of these five marriages.
At the time of her fathers death, Lucinda Malinda bought the James Heath Family bible from the estate. It was never surfaced.
