Ralph N. Diskey, 84, 3564 S. Boots St., died at 6:10 p.m. Thursday in Rolling Meadows Health Care Center, LaFontaine.

He was born in Marion to the late John and Celia (Wagner) Diskey. He married Violet G. Apple on 5 March 1938. She preceded him in death.

He retired from Paranite Wire and Cable. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Westside Assembly of God and was an avid fisherman and gardener.

Surviving are a daughter, Joyce (Michael) O'Banion, Jonesboro; a brother, Art (Joann) Diskey, Marion; a sister, Ida Mary (Robert) Oswalt, Marion; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Services are at 11 a.m. Monday in Owen-Weilert-Duncan Funeral Home, Marion Chapel, 2722 S. Washington St., with the Rev. John Lenfesty officiating. Burial is in Estates of Serenity cemetery.

Visitation is 2 to 6 p. m. Sunday at the funeral home.
