DECATUR -- Mrs. Nelsie Mae Hampton, 73, of Route 1, Decatur, died Sunday at a Huntsville hospital. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Brown Service Funeral Home.
Burial was to be in Johnson Chapel Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, Luther Hampton; two daughters, Martha Sue Barbara of New Orleans Barbara Jean Smithey of Dallas; four brothers, Chester Lacy of Decatur, Jessie Lee Lacy of Trinity, Junior Lacy of Neel and Otho Lacy of Hartselle; three sisters, Velma Steadham of Lacey's Spring, Roberta White and Kathleen Phillips, of Decatur; nine grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
