Funeral for Odis Junior Lacy, 79, of Danville will be Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2006, at 2 p.m. at Shady Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Tom Campbell officiating and Shelton Funeral Home directing.
Burial will be in Johnson Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 5 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mr. Lacy, who died Sunday, Aug. 27, 2006, at his residence, was born March 11, 1927, in Lawrenceburg, Tenn., to Robert Lacy and Nancy Gray Lacy. He was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church and a member of the Neel Volunteer Fire Department.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Mavis Lelderine Long Lacy; six sons, Buddy Lacy of Hartselle, Jerry Lacy of Falkville, and Joe Lacy, Tim Lacy, Mike Lacy and Alex Lacy, all of Danville; one daughter, Pat Hudgins of Danville; brother, Otho Lacy of Hartselle; sister, Roberta White of Decatur; 14 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
Mr. Lacy's sons will serve as pallbearers.
