Jerry Edward Beagley, 76, an area resident since 1907, died Saturday at Waynoka Clapper Memorial Hospital. He was born on November 16, 1892 in Stafford, Kansas to Lewis and Lozzia Helen (Cruse) Beagley. He married Grace Lillian Davidson on July 15, 1919 in Alva. He is survived by his wife, Grace; his daughters, Dixie Dollie Clemence of Waynoka, Laura Alta Bliss and Nola Grace Storer, both of Buffalo, and Vera Velma Schultz of Alva; his sons, Alfred Lewis Beagley of Buffalo, Carl Joe Beagley of Humboldt, Kansas, Jim Max Beagley of Freedom, Lloyd Jerry Beagley of Coldwater, Kansas, and William John Beagley of Ponca City; his brothers, George Beagley of Grand Junction, Colorado, Ben Beagley of Los Angeles, California, and Jack Beagley of Alva; his sisters, Lillian Belvedere of Tacoma, Washington and Ada Pulliam of Aline; and twenty four grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday at Freedom Christian Church with Rev. Robert McCray officiating. Interment was in Freedom Cemetery under the direction of Wharton Funeral Chapel.
