After his divorce with Mary, he married Mable Miller 7 January 1941 in Tennessee. Wiley joined the Army in 1942. He served 10 October 1942 through 30 March 1943. He served in Battery A 310th Coast Artillery Barrage Balloon Battalion during WWII. They have two living daughters.
Wiley died 8 September 1953 in Cullman County, Alabama. He is buried in Rocky Mount Cemetery, Marshall County, Alabama.
