Buena was the mother of two sons; Jack Lavon Rigsby and John David Rigsby.
Buena and her husband lived in both Cullman and Marshall counties before settling and buying a farm in Baileyton, Cullman County, Alabama.
Buena Rigsby worked hard all of her life. She grew up working in the fields. She worked in the fields while her husband,Elmon farmed. When he stopped farming she worked in the fields for other people to make extra money. She always raised a garden and canned her vegetables. She had a cow and chickens to provide Milk, Butter and eggs.
Buena had a stroke in the 70s. She recovered and lived several years before she died suddenly of congestive heart failure. She died 25 November 1979 in the Arab hospital, Marshall County, Alabama. Buena and Elmon are buried in Edison Chapel Cemetery, Cullman County, Alabama.
