William Mathias Sherry of Apollo passed away at the Adrian hospital at Punxsutawney, Pa., on August 16, 1926 at 4 o'clock pm, at the age of 47 years, 9 months, and 12 days, following an illness of 14 months. He was a victim of spinal trouble.
William M. Sherry was a well known engineer of Apollo, Pa., having lived in the community for three years. He was born in Ringgold Township, Jefferson County, Pa. on November 4th, 1878. In 1900, he moved to Porter Township and was engaged in lumbering and drilling until three years ago when he went to Apollo where he was engaged as an engineer.
Will was married to Clara Schaffer, of Ringgold Township on April 11th, 1900.
Five Children were a result of this union, three sons and two daughters.
