Clara Elizabeth (Lizzie) Sherry Mowrey of North Findley Street, Punxsutawney, died Sunday, December 21, 1975 at Jefferson Manor in Brookville. She was 98 years of age.

Mrs. Mowrey was born May 20, 1877 in Ringgold township. The daughter of Daniel and Mary Ellen Martz Sherry she was married to the late Michael (Mike) Milton Mowrey.

Surviving are one son, Clarence R. of Punxsutawney and two brothers: Erbie Sherry of Timblin and Alonza Sherry of Kittanning; and two sisters, Verda Barnett of Vandergrift and Grace Shovestall of Tucson, Arizona.

5 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and
2 great great grandchildren also survive.

Daughter Mary Orga Mowery 1903-1952 married Oliver Paul Shaffer

A lifetime resident of the Punxsutawney area, she was a member of the North Freedom Methodist Church.

Friends were received in the Richard L Fait Funeral Home. The body will lie in state from 12 noon until 1:00 pm Tuesday at the North Freedom Methodist Church where services will be held at 1:00. The Rev. Lee Karns will officiate and interment will follow in North Freedom Cemetery.
