Michael Milton Mowrey died 1:30 pm Tuesday, November 30, 1943, at his home in Ringgold township, Jefferson county. He was born May 30, 1875 in Pine Creek township, Jefferson county. His parents were Henry & Hannah Hunsinger Mowrey.

He married Clara Elizabeth Sherry on April 16, 1898.

He is survived by his wife, one daughter, Mrs Paul (Mary Orga) Shaffer, North Freedom; one son, Clarence R. Mowrey, Punxsutawney.

There are also five grandchildren and one great grandchild. He is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Charles McMillen, Reynoldsville; two brothers, Charles Mowrey, Johnsonburg, George Mowrey, Reynoldsville; four half brothers, Lester Mowrey, Wichita Falls, Texas, Clyde & Raymond Mowrey, Sharon, Alvin, California.

Mr. Mowrey was a member of the Evangelical Church of North Freedom.

A funeral service was held Friday, December 3, at the Evangelical Church of North Freedom with Rev. A. F. Thomas and Rev. Richards in charge. Interment was made in the church cemetery under the direction of H. H. Sloan.
