Lula K. Earlywine, age 80, widow of Harley Earlywine, died Wednesday September 19, 1973, at Nicholas County Hospital, in Carlisle, Kentucky, after a two-week illness. A native of Nicholas County, Kentucky, she was a member of Pleasant Valley Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include: six daughters, Mrs. Iretta Jolly, of Fleming County, Mrs. Frances McIntosh, of Lexington, Mrs. Imogene Hunt, of Maysville, Mrs. Ruth King Concord and Mrs. Lida Bell Mitchell, both of Fleming County, and Mrs. Betty Kelley, of Carlisle; six sons, Bradley Earlywine and Bobby Earlywine, both Paris, Audrey Earlywine and Clarence Earlywine, both of Nicholas County, and Lewis Earlywine and James Earlywine, both of Fleming County; two sisters, Mrs. Addie Ritchie, of Nicholas County, and Mabel Morris, of Carlisle; 86 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

Services were held Saturday at the Mathers-Shearer Chapel, conducted by Sister Loretta Fryman. Burial was in Carlisle Cemetery. Grandsons served as pallbearers.

Mother of: six sons, Audrey, Loyde, Lewis, James, Robert and Clarence; and seven daughters, Elizabeth Hunt, Iretta Jolly, Francis McIntosh, Imogene Hunt, Ruth King, Lida Mitchell and Betty Kelly. Grandmother of 86. Daughter of Lewis T. and Permilia Francis Bowles Kelley.
