Harley Earlywine, age 73, died at 4:30 a.m. Saturday at Nicholas County Hospital, in Carlisle, Kentucky, after a one-day illness. He was a native of Nicholas County, Kentucky, and a member of Barterville Methodist Church.

Survivors include: his wife, Lula Kelley Earlywine; seven daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Hunt, Mrs. Imogene Hunt, Mrs. Iretta Jolly and Mrs. Belle Mitchell, all of Fleming County, Mrs. Ruth King, of Vanceburg, Mrs. Betty Kelley, of Carlisle, and Mrs. Frances McIntosh, of Lexington; six sons, L.B. Earlywine, of Paris; Edward Earlywine and Lewis Earlywine, both of Fleming County, and Bobby Earlywine, Audrey Earlywine and Clarence Earlywine, all of Nicholas County; a sister, Mrs. Amanda Mynear, of Carlisle; a brother, Jimmy Earlywine, of Millersburg; 86 grandchildren; and 51 great-grandchildren.

Services were conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Mathers-Shearer Chapel by Reverend Thomas Gaunce. Burial was in Carlisle Cemetery. Bearers were Avery Hunt, Harley Hunt, Bradley Earlywine, Roy Earlywine, Ronald Jolly and James King.

Father of: six sons, Audrey, Loyde, Lewis, James, Robert and Clarence; and seven daughters, Elizabeth Hunt, Iretta Jolly, Francis McIntosh, Imogene Hunt, Ruthie King, Lida Mitchell and Betty Kelley.
