Emma Jane Russell was born 18 May 1858 in Loudonville, Ashland, OH to James T. Russell and Nancy Carpenter. She married John Ramsey Grubaugh on 18 May 1876 in Loudonville, Ashland, OH and had 10 children with John. The children are listed on the memorial for John. Mrs. Grubaugh stricken at home of daughter
Loudonville - Mrs. Emma Grubaugh, 81, widow of James Grubaugh, died Friday at the home of a daughter Mrs. Isabel Martin in Orrville, after a long illness.
Mrs. Grubaugh was born a few miles west of here, the daughter of James and Nancy Russell, and had spent her entire life here, going to her daughter's home recently.
She is survived by five sons and five daughters. They are Chalmers and Willis of Loudonville, and James, Howard, and Wilburt of Akron, Mrs. Mae Mapes, Mrs. Iva Brubaker, Mrs. Maude Haeferlie and Mrs. Nettie Jones, all of Akron, and Mrs. Martin at Orrville. A sister, Mrs. George Billingsley, Mansfield, and a brother, Thomas Russell, Loudonville, also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Sunday at the Perrysville Lutheran Church, with Rev. J. H. Kuhlman, pastor of the Zion Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery.
