Lloyd D Boren, age 80, of Pleasant Grove passed away on July 7, 2007. He was born Feb. 14, 1927. Our loving father, husband, and brother passed away peacefully at home with his family present. After graduating from P.G. High School, Lloyd served in the Navy during World War II. Lloyd was a butcher in the Archie Boren Meat Market in Pleasant Grove. Later he was a butcher in the IGA Meat Market in Pleasant Grove. He worked at Geneva Steel for 39 years and retired as Head Roller.
He married Dawna Mae Marrott June 1, 1945 in the Salt Lake Temple. He raised 6 children. He was a member of the LDS church and served actively for many years. Lloyd and Dawna served in the UT Valley Regional Family History Mission from 1996 to 1997.
Lloyd was very giving and service oriented. He loved to camp, hunt, and fish with his family.
Friends may call at the Olpin Family Mortuary in Pleasant Grove, 494 South 300 East on Tuesday, July 10, 2007 from 6-8 PM. Funeral Services will be on Wednesday at 11:00 AM at the LDS Chapel at 1250 East 200 South in Pleasant Grove with a viewing one hour prior to services. Interment will be held in the Pleasant Grove cemetery.
