ARCHIE BOREN DIES AT 71 AFTER ILLNESS

PLEASANT GROVE--Archie Boren,71, died Saturday morning at the Utah Valley Hospital after a lingering illness.

Mr. Boren was born May 18, 1889, in Wallsburg, son of Jasper and Temperance Wall Boren. He spent his childhood and attended school in Wallsberg.

He married Myrtle Daybell on June 27, 1910, in Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was active in church and civic affairs. He has been ward clerk in the First Ward of this city for the past three years and was a member of the volunteer fire department.

He operated the Boren Meat and Grocery business for 18 years.

He is survived by his wife and seven children, LaVell Boren, Jack Boren, Mrs. William (Lucille) Butt, Mrs. Oscar L. (Thelma) Swenson, Mrs. Grant (Anna) Adamson, all of Pleasant Grove; Grant (Anna) Adamson, all of Pleasant Grove; Grant A. Boren, Lehi; one brother, Ellis Boren, Bingham; three sisters, Mrs. Lennie Ford, Mrs. Polly Hendrickson, Miss Areva Boren, all of Wallsburg; 35 grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at the Timpanogos Stake House. Friends may call at the Olpin-Sundberg Grove from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday evening and Monday prior to services. Burial will be in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
