Mrs. Elsie Clarissa (Lane) McMinn, 63, wife of Robert Carl McMinn, died at 5:30 PM, Wednesday, November 11, 1953, at her residence, 36 W. Ely St, Alliance, OH, after an illness of two years. A native of Three Springs, Huntingdon PA, Mrs. McMinn lived in Alliance 32 years. She is survived by her husband and a son, Robert S., Alliance, two daughters; Mrs. Vera (McMinn) Gantz, and Mrs. Elizabeth (McMinn) Bard, both at Alliance, two sisters; Mrs. Olive (Lane) Roher, Three Springs, PA, Mrs. Nevada (Lane) Beckwith, Pasadena, CA; seven brothers; Clarence, East Sparta, Abram and Otis, Three Springs, PA, Jay, Pittsburgh, PA, Clinton, Cedar Rapids, IA, Frank, Harrisburg, PA, and Ellis, Mankato, MN, and three grandchildren. One son, one daughter, and three sisters, Lillian and Eunice, are deceased. Funeral services were held at 2:30 PM, Saturday, November 14, 1953, at the Myers Funeral Home, Alliance, in charge of Rev. William E. Price, pastor of the First Evangelical and United Brethren Church. Interment was made in City Cemetery, Alliance, OH.
