STUBBS, MARY FRANCES MATTINGLY RICHARDS, 84, of Louisville, died Wednesday, June 1, 2005, at her home, She was a native of Marion County, KY, a retired employee of Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company and a member of St. Ignatius Martyr Catholic Church for 43 years. She was also a dedicated "Granny" for the foster grandparents program for 18 years. Frances was preceded in death by her son, Joseph Ronald Richards, daughter, Sandra June Stubbs, her parents, James Arthur Sr. and Georgiana Mattingly, five brothers and four sisters. She is survived by four sons, James Donald Richards (Janice) of Lebanon, KY, Jerry Richards of Louisville, Jimmy Richards (Carolyn) of Walnut Cove, NC, and Johnny Richards of Jonesboro, AK; five daughters, Catherine Ann Hayden (Terry) of Lexington, KY, Barbara Dobson (Mark) of Borden, IN, Cindy Stubbs (Mickey Westbay) of New Albany, IN, and Susan O'Brien and Lisa Stubbs (Gene Lilly), all of Louisville; 20 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ann Wheatley of Springfield, KY, and Laura Jean Nalley of St. Francis, KY; and many special nieces and nephews. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Ignatius Martyr Catholic Church, 1816 Rangeland Rd., with burial to follow at 12:30 p.m. in St. Charles Church Cemetery in St. Mary, KY. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Friday at Arch L. Heady & Son, Okolona. Memorial gifts may be made to St. Charles Church Cemetery Fund or St. Vincent de Paul Society at St. Ignatius Martyr Catholic Church.

MARY FRANCES MATTINGLY STUBBS, 84, Louisville, died June 1, 2005, at her home. Formerly of Lebanon, Stubbs was a retired cashier at A&P Food Store. She was preceded in death by: a son, Joseph Ronald Richards; a daughter, Sandra June Stubbs; parents, James Arthur Sr. and Georgiana Mattingly; five brothers; and four sisters. Survivors include: four sons, James Donald, Jerry, Jimmy and Johnny Richards; five daughters, Catherine Ann Hayden, Barbara Dobson, Cindy Stubbs, Susan O'Brien and Lisa Stubbs; two sisters, Ann Wheatley and Laura Jean Nalley; 20 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held June 4 at St. Ignatius Martyr Catholic Church in Louisville with burial in St. Charles Cemetery in St. Mary. Memorial donations can be made to St. Charles Church Cemetery Fund, St. Vincent DePaul or St. Ignatius Martyr Catholic Church. Arch L. Heady and Son Funeral Home, Louisville, was in charge of the arrangements.
