John E. Oshel, resident of Allen county 35 years, died at his home at 305 South Chestnut at 4:14 a.m. today, leaving 10 children and seven brothers and sisters among his survivors.
Mr. Oshel, who would have been 80 years old February 19, had been ill for the past four weeks, being cared for at the home of his sister Mrs. Lillian McClure, 305 South Chestnut.
He was a farmer by occupation. He united with the Christian church at an early age.
He was married Sep. 16, 1895 to Linnie Simpson, who preceded him in death.

The funeral was at the Releford Funeral Home, and burial at the Gas City Cemetery, Gas, Kansas.
