Mrs. Olive Melton, 81, who has lived in Iola most of her adult life, died last night at the McAtee Rest Home.
Mrs. Melton was born in Woodson County. While she was a girl, the family moved to a farm near Welda where she lived until moving to Iola in 1903. She was a member of the Baptist Church.
She is survived by two sister, Mrs. Lillian McClure, Iola and Mrs. Pearl Minor, Wichita; one granddaughter and two great grandchildren.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the Waugh Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Welda Cemetery.
