Barbara was born September 10, 1939 to Samuel and Betty (Anderson)Powers in Fort Cobb, Oklahoma, and married Steve Johnson December 21,1977 in Henrietta, Texas. Barbara worked at Haggar Slack Company as an inspector, ran a full sevice Exxon gas station in Bowie, and worked at Jim Bowie Restaurant as a cook. She was nominated for Citizen of the year in Bowie. Barbara enjoyed flower gardening and fishing, and was known as an excellent cook where cakes and fudge were her specialties. She is preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Betty Powers; son Shane Allen Wetzel; daughter Debra Ann Walker; seven brothers and four sisters. Barbara is survived by her husband, Steve Johnson of Bowie; four grandsons, Rick Steedley of Bowie, Michael and Cody Parker of Venice Beach, CA, and Jonathan Walker of Bowie; step granddaughter, Summer Hoffpauir of Bowie; sister, Betty Polly and husband, John of Wichita Falls; numerous nieces and nephews. She will be missed
