HERMAN J. INGRAM, 75, of 1424 Meitzler, died at 6:40 p.m. Saturday (March 22, 1986) at St. Elizabeth Hospital.
Ingram was a mechanic for Barkman Chevrolet until his retirement n 1974. He was a member of Olive Branch Masonic Lodge 38 and American Legion Post 51 in Westville, IL. He enjoyed bowling.
Born Aug. 28, 1910, in Henning, IL, he was a son of J.B. and Hester Carter Ingram. He married Dorothy C. Walker Sept. 1, 1932, in Chicago. She died Dec. 10, 1982.
Other survivors; a brother, Robert Ingram of Rossville, IL,; six sisters, Emma Smith of Bismarck, Il, Rae Schadeck of Chicago, Mary Jane Stayton of Urbana, IL, Geraldine Clay of Hobart, IN, Ruth Johnson of Homewood, IL, and Margaret Ackers of Hobart, IN, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister and four brothers.
Services; 10 a.m. Wednesday at Barrick & Son Funeral Home, Offiiciation; Rev. Ken Fetters; Burial; Forrest Park Cemetery in Georgetown, IL., with military rites conducted by American Legion Post 51 of Westville; Visittion 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
