John B. Ingram, 53, of Alvin route 1, brother of Robert Ingram of Rossville died unexpectedly at 7:45 a.m., Tuesday October 29, 1968 in the office of a physician at Potomac following a brief illness. Death was attributed to a heart condition.
A life resident of the Alvin area, Mr. Ingram was born September 7, 1915 in South Ross Township, son of John Burton and Hester Carter Ingram. He was married December 22, 1936 to Leatha Albea , who survives.
Mr. Ingram was a farmer and also employed as substitute mail carrier from the Alvin Post Office.
Other survivors include three sons, Louis of the US Army, Robert and Allen, both at home, three daughters, Mrs. Linda Hagley, Mrs. Marsha Cranmore both of Danville and Vicki at home; three brothers Robert of Rossville, Don of Bismarck, and Herman of Danville.
Also six sisters Mrs. Emma Smith of Alvin, Mrs. Margaret Akers and Mrs Geraldine Clay of Gary, Mrs Ruth Johnson of Homewood, Mrs Rae Schadeck of Chicago and Mrs Mary Stayton of Kokomo, Indiana and Six grandchildren.
Services were at 2 p.m., Friday at the Bismarck Church of Christ, Robert Huxtable of Rossville officiating. Burial was in Gundy Cemetery.
