Alvin Farmer died in Hospital From Hurts Sustained When Crushed By Thresher

Ersil Guy Ingram, 30, of near Alvin, died at 6 o'clock Wednesday morning in Lake View Hospital from injuries sustained Monday afternoon when he was crushed between a steam engine and a threshing machine, the upper portion of his chest being mangled. The man was employed as an engineer for a threshing crew on the Deck farm and while attempting to run the engine away from the separator he caused the engine to lunge against the threshing machine.

The deceased was born in Blount township and resided all his life in Vermilion county. He was a son of J. B. Ingram and Hester Carter Ingram. Surviving are: the widow, the father, five brothers, Donald, Dewey, Herman, Robert and John; seven sisters, Flossie, Emma, Rae, Mary, Geraldine, Ruth and Margaret, and a daughter, Virginia.
